Question: What motivated you to start your journey?
I didn’t like feeling tired and weak constantly and could only ride my bike up to 10km before feeling like I had had enough. I was then challenged to enter a 640km bike event and knew that I needed to have a go.
Question: What did you find most challenging?
That Rebecca was a tougher trainer then Ben (ha ha). Seriouosly, when my body says it has done enough and in fact it was so little that I had to keep pushing.
Question: How did you feel prior to starting your exercise/healthy eating program?
Eating was minimal so as to avoid weight gain but was mostly tired and lacked energy to get through each day.
Question: List three new things you have learnt since you started?
1. Ben is no longer an easy trainer
2. Life is about making a positive difference but we have to start with ourselves first.
3. We don’t get change overnight but with ongoing committment you change your life permanently.
Question: What advice would you give someone who is afraid to start an exercise program?
Everyone has a starting point and can be as simple as changing your thinking which will change your beliefs, your expectations and then your attitude. Then you change your behaviour and how you perform and then you have changed your life.
Question: What do you think is the key to your success with this program?
Having a support network within Difference Personal Traning to keep me motivated to reach my goals that will change my future and my life.
Question: What do you notice different about your life now that you are healthier and fitter?
More energy and self discipline. Ability to acheive more results in life and a clearer focus on the priorities in life.
Question: What is the best thing about succeeding on this journey for you?
It has helped me start a new career path with greater long term benefits. Helped me change my performance which has in turn changed my life with a new loving partner.
Question: How do you friends and family feel aout the new you?
Very supportive, amazed by how far I have travelled over my 12 month journey and proud that it has helped me gain acceptance into the Police Force.
